The countdown begins! ⏳ Just over a year until #WotRCon—a weekend packed with all things Wars of the Roses and Plantagenet history. General registration opens on February 14th 2025.

On January 19th, 1419, the strategic city of Rouen in Normandy surrendered to Henry V of England, marking a critical victory in the Hundred Years' War. This momentous event completed Henry’s reconquest of Normandy and significantly enhanced his position in the ongoing conflict with France. The capture of Rouen was the culmination of years of military campaigns that had begun in 1415 with Henry’s famous victory at the Battle of Agincourt.

What is WotRCon?

WotRCon is a three-day event dedicated to the history, culture, and intrigue of the Wars of the Roses and the Plantagenet era. Featuring lectures, Q&A panels, combat demonstrations, a costume ball, and more, it’s an experience for history enthusiasts of all kinds.

When and where is WotRCon taking place?

The convention will be held February 13 – 15, 2026, at the Maritime Conference Center located at 692 Maritime Boulevard, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090.

How can I purchase tickets?

Tickets will be available soon! Stay tuned for announcements on our website and social media for updates on pricing and early bird offers.

Are costumes required to attend?

Costumes are encouraged but not required. Whether you’re in full medieval garb or modern attire, you’re welcome to join the fun.

What kinds of activities will there be?

Attendees can look forward to:

Will there be reenactments or live battles?

WotRCon does not feature reenactments, but we do host exciting combat demonstrations showcasing medieval fighting techniques.

Is WotRCon family-friendly?

Absolutely! While some events may have age recommendations, there’s something for history lovers of all ages. There are no specific activities for children.

How can I apply to be a vendor, volunteer, or speaker?

Visit our “Get Involved” section to find applications and guidelines for vendors, volunteers, and speakers.

What is the refund policy?

Tickets are non refundable, but are transferable.

Will there be food and drink at the event?

Yes! There will be food available. Friday evening, 2/13/26, there will be hors d’oeuvres provided from 7PM – 10 PM during the Medieval Mashup Ball. Saturday includes a continental breakout breakfast, lunch at the conference centers restaurant and afternoon breakout snacks. Sunday will include the continental breakout breakfast.

Can I take photos or record during the event?

Photography is encouraged, but please be respectful of panelists and attendees during sessions. Video Recording of any panel is strictly prohibited.

Is the venue accessible?

We are committed to making WotRCon accessible for all attendees. The venue offers ramps, elevators and handicapped accessible parking. Contact us with specific accessibility concerns.

How can I stay updated on WotRCon news?

What should I bring to WotRCon?

A smile and a desire to learn. If you’d like to take part in the costume ball Friday, bring a costume. Bring your ID for registration, and any personal items you might need for the day.

Can I attend just one day of the convention?

You can attend as many days you prefer, but the cost of the ticket remains the same.

Are pets allowed at the event?

Only service animals are permitted at the venue.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is free parking on-site. We recommend arriving early to secure a spot.

Will there be merchandise available?

Yes! Vendors in our marketplace will offer a wide range of items, and official WotRCon merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Outside food and drinks are generally not allowed, but there will be food vendors on-site. Contact us if you have specific dietary needs.

Are there accommodations nearby?

Yes, the conference center offers two styles of rooms for those who wish to stay overnight. Check our “Travel & Accommodations” page for more information. Additionally there are several other hotels near the convention center.

Will there be child-specific activities?

While there are no child-specific activities planned, the event is family-friendly, and most sessions are suitable for children.

What should I wear to the themed ball?

Attendees are encouraged to dress in medieval or Plantagenet-inspired attire for the ball. We want everyone to be comfortable and enjoy their time at WotRCon.

Can I participate in combat demonstrations or workshops?

Some demonstrations and workshops may offer participation opportunities. Details will be included in the schedule once it’s published.

Are there opportunities to network with speakers and experts?

Yes, many of our sessions include Q&A panels, meet-and-greet opportunities, and social events where you can connect with speakers and other enthusiasts.

Will sessions or panels be recorded?

They will be recorded for archival purposes only.

What happens if the event is canceled?

In the unlikely event of cancellation, attendees will be notified immediately, and refund policies will be outlined.
